One Week Old

I forgot how much newborns sleep - this is really what he does all day and most of the night.
Jaxon still loves to take care of his little brother. He constantly wants to hold Grant - "I take, I take." He is also very protective of him already. He was crying while I was changing his diaper and Jaxon came up to me and kept hitting my hand because he thought I was hurting him. He was also crying during his bath the other night and Jaxon was so worried and kept saying "Oh no, oh no"Suzy and Grant - I love that Grant is looking right at the camera
Grant and Jaxon look so much alike that I find myself calling Grant, Jaxon. Grant is wearing a lot of Jaxon's old clothes, so it is fun to see pictures of the two of them in the same outfits. Here are a few comparison pictures:

One More Day!!!

I am an entire week over due and ready to pop. My induction date is set for Wednesday morning and I can not wait. My mom arrived on Friday so it has been so much fun having her around. It will be nice to have her help once the baby arrives. I think I can make it ONE MORE DAY!!!

Concord

As for a baby update I am 2 days over due - YIKES!!! I don't think any woman should ever have to say they are 40 plus weeks. I assumed with Jaxon coming on his due date that this one would for sure come on time if not early....um wrong. I have a doctor's appointment in the morning, so hopefully we will have an end date soon. The doctors here don't like to induce labor, but I'm thinking this needs to happen soon!!! Cole has had the past week off for spring break so today we went to Concord and visited Minute Man National Historical Park and the Old North Bridge which commemorates the opening battle (first colonist opposition) in the American Revolutionary War. It was fun to see some of the historical sites around Boston. We had a crazy rain storm this past weekend and in 72 hours we received 5 inches of rain and there were a lot of rivers that flooded. As you can see from our pictures Concord got hit pretty hard.

This is a picture of the Old North Bridge today - it is mostly under water.
This is what it should look like
There should be a narrow river flowing under the bridge not a lake - it is crazy how much water we got so quickly.
Here is the path that should take us around to see the bridge

Boston Children's Museum

My neighbor, Heidi, and I took the kids to the Boston Children's Museum today. The kids had so much fun and wore themselves out.
Jax and Maddy - this was the best picture I could get of the two of them.
They have a Curious George exhibit going on right now that Jaxon loved. He loves watching the "mimi show."He loved the water exhibit. He wouldn't let me put one of the waterproof aprons on him, so you can imagine how wet he was by the time we left. I think he spent at least an hour in here. Once his shirt, pants, and shoes were all soaked we decided to go - good thing it was a nice day.
Another hour was spent playing with these "choo choos." He is obsessed with trains right now. Any time we leave our house he goes and gets his bag and packs up at least 5 trains to take with us.
