New Hampshire

Chris and Jessie were kind enough to have us all up to their place on Lake Winnipesaukee this past week. It was fun to spend time together with our great friends before we all move away.
Grant's first boat ride.
Haddie and Grant
The lake was really cold, but that didn't stop Claire. Grant was fine to just put his toes in.
Dinner at El Centenario
The kids were loving the sparklers.
Jessie made us her yummy mac and cheese for Sunday dinner.
Lake Winnipesaukee is such a beautiful place. It is so picturesque.
We wore the boys out - literally 30 seconds into our drive home they were both sound asleep

Washington D.C.

Cole finished school this past week (yea!) so we decided to take a trip to D.C. We have some friends living there and the son of Cole's mission president was having a wedding reception so we figured it was a good excuse to take a little vacation. Jeff and Katie Wood were so nice to let us stay with them and we had such a blast hanging out and catching up with them.

On Thursday night we had dinner with the Harrison's. It was a blast to hang out with them. They just built a new home so it was fun to see it.
On Friday we went to National Harbor with the Wood's.
The boys had fun playing around the "Awakening Sculpture" - a 70 foot statue of a giant struggling to free himself.
I can't tell you how excited I was to see a Peeps store! Every year I look forward to being able to buy them, so to find a store that sells them year round was so amazing!! :)
The boys enjoying the fountains at the Gaylord Hotel.
Potomac River
Georgetown
The famous Georgetown cupcakes - I was amazed at the line that went up the street at 11 a.m.
Jaxon fell and got an "owie" so we got him a band-aid. Turns out he was in love with his crayon band-aids and decided to plaster the entire box all over his arms and legs.
Walking around the memorials brought back a lot of memories from when Cole and I were here seven years ago when we were first dating. It is crazy how quickly the time has gone by. It was fun to be back with our little family.
We were able to meet up with one of Cole's best friends, Jeff Barratt. Jeff is just finishing his first year of medical school at George Washington. Unfortunately Megan was out of town so we didn't get a chance to see her.

Our yummy Mother's Day dinner with the Wood's.
